Lifeworks Easter Club getting busy indoors and out
It has been a busy and fun start to the Lifeworks Easter Holiday club. On Monday the club got stuck into to more work on preparing the outside of the Lifeworks College garden. With much lifting of soil, clearing away the old Autumn leaves and perparing the new rasied beds. After a break it was onot to the less strenuous work of starting to plant out some new flowers and herbs. There is still plenty to do but the Easter Club have made terrific progress to the garden and we can’t wait to show off it’s full glory when it is completed.
Chocolate heaven in the kitchen
There was a buzz in kitchen with everyone pitching in with their different roles and responsibilities for the chocolate making day and there were so many different and creative ideas. The group started by melting their blocks of chocolate in a warm bowl, which was covering a pan of hot water. We are pretty sure not all the chocolate made it into to the bowl and there were some squares missing and some chocolate lips on show! However, once melted the mixture was poured into an array of moulds. Some heart-shaped and others were giant eggs. There were also some crispy cakes versions cover with sumptuous marshmallows, sprinkles, and various sweets. A brilliant day in the Lifeworks College Kitchen and a feast of treats to take home!HOLIDAY CLUBS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
