Lifeworks holiday programme joy and adventure.

Lifeworks Summer Holiday Programme

The day was a celebration of sun, sea, and smiles

The last day of the Lifeworks holiday programme for young individuals with learning disabilities was a true crescendo of joy and adventure. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Bigbury on Sea, the day was a celebration of sun, sea, and smiles.

The beach day commenced with our young people trying their hand at surfing and paddleboarding, proving that with the right support and encouragement, anyone can conquer the waves. The sun shone over fun and games on the sand as friendships formed and barriers dissolved, illustrating the power of shared experiences.

One of the highlights of the day was the delicious barbecue on the beach, with food which had been prepared by the participants themselves.

This closing chapter of the diverse summer holiday programme encapsulated the programme’s essence: inclusivity, growth, and pure enjoyment. So many different activities have been experienced and new opportunities offered. Thank you to the wonderful staffing team, the organisations and venues that have been visited but most of all to the young people who have taken part – we can’t wait until the next time!
